The Luis Suarez transfer saga continues, as Arsenal are making another bid for the Uruguayan, worth £40million. There is a clause in the forwards contract, that is triggered after some club offers more than  £40million. Then Liverpool must consider every offer that is higher than that figure.

Suarez was named in the substitutes for the friendly against Melbourne Victory and Liverpool manager Brendan Rogers and the managing director held him for talks after the game. He is not allowed to leave the tour early, because another friendly is scheduled in Bangkok later this week.
Arsenal is trying to secure the signing of Suarez, because their main target Gonzalo Higuain has signed with the Italian side Napoli. That was a big disappointment for the Arsenal supporters. Now they look forward to completing the move for Luis Suarez and pairing him with Olivier Giroud, who has an amazing pre-season with Arsenal, scoring 6 goals in just 3 games. Giroud himself said:
"Luis is someone with whom I could form a good understanding on the pitch," - Giroud
So, in my opinion that partnership look promising, but it is far away from comleted.
Liverpool have turned down 2 offers from the Gunners, but now, with the £40million offer, Suarez must be informed and he can hold Arsenal talks. Even though that's a lot of money by Arsenal's standards, Liverpool have no intention of selling their striker for less than  £50million.
Following Arsenal's last approach for Suarez, Liverpool's owner John Henry posted on his twitter page:

"What do you think they're smoking over there at Emirates?" - John Henry
While Liverpool remain determined to keep Luis Suarez, who scored 30 goals in 44 appearances in the last campaign, they are gonna be tested if the bids keep rising.
Suarez is quite happy at Liverpool, but I think that he wants to play in the Champions League, and he can't have that at Liverpool, so that's why in some way he wants to leave.

Suarez, despite the incidents that follow him throughout his Premier League career is without doubt one of the best strikers in the league. But, I just don't like his character, he makes too much of a fuss around himself. Last season he bite Chelsea's defender Branislav Ivanovic. Later he apologized, but he didn't appeal against the 10-match ban he got because of that incident. Also he had an incident with Manchester United's left back Patrice Evra. He was charged with racially abusing United's defender. He was also banned for that incident. His behavior is not what you would expect from a professional footballer who plays in the biggest league in the World.
His teammate goalkeeper also said something about Suarez:
"Luis is a bubbly character. You always know when he's about as you can hear him five rooms away! He just loves football - he lives and breathes it. He's that type of character" - Brad Jones
But he is not creating a good name in the media, as he would like, because when he does something, and we know he does stupid things, the media is all over him. That's not good for a player of his caliber, he's only getting bad reputation.
