Manchester United forward Robin Van Persie is the latest star
to enter Rio Ferdinand's #5 Players Lounge - and the Dutchman shows off his
unbelievable technique and his amazing skills. With the boys from F2, the freestylers, Van Persie
takes on some crossbar challenges, free kicks, and even freestyle skills were
shown to the football fans.

United at the moment are on their pre-season tour. The squad is in Sydney for the second match of the tour. Now, they are given a boost after the news that Robin is joining the team. That will be his first chance to get to know his new manager David Moyes who will be glad to have Van Persie back with Danny Welbeck the only striker available to the new boss after the defeat in Thailand.

Persie has a lot of skills and he shows that in every game, but I personally
have never seen him pull that freestyle tricks which he shows in this video.
However, he is a world class striker with fantastic technique. He always plays
smart, and paired with the "always hungry" for games and for goals Wayne Rooney creates that great forward pair which almost always finds the opponents net. In most cases Wayne is the provider and Robin is the executor, the finisher. And he does it with style.
He is rated very high by the football experts because of his clinical finishing, great touch, his moves, how he maneuvers in space between the opponents defenders and his understanding of the game.
He started his career as a left winger having some great dribbling skills, at the Dutch club of Feyenoord, joined Arsenal in 2004, where he established himself as a top scorer, and he also became captain of the club in 2011, one year before joining rivals Manchester United. He is also captain of the Dutch national team in which he has scored 35 goals in 76 appearances. Now, playing for United he scored 26 goals in 38 appearances in the last campaign leading Manchester United's attack.
The return of Van Persie is gladly accepted by the United fans, with Wellbeck missing three or four great chances in the last match and with Wayne Rooney "injured" and already back in Manchester to asses the hamstring injury, Robin is their only hope for scoring goals in the next few matches.

On the other hand the boys from F2 aren't too bad either. They have some exceptional skills and tricks which amazed me. They even recreate Robin's devastating volley against Villa at Old Trafford from last season.
Van Persie is without doubt one of the best buys that Manchester United have made under Alex Ferguson, I hope David Moyles does as well as Alex Ferguson and keeps the side well balanced.
ReplyDeleteYeah, you're right about Van Persie, and I also think that Moyes will keep the side balanced and organized, maybe not as good as Fergie but he was doing well in Everton even on a low budget, why not in United? :)
