Monaco have confirmed they have completed the signing of the Columbian striker Radamel Falcao from Atletico Madrid. Falcao is joining Monaco on a five-year deal after the clubs reached an agreement for his transfer, the Ligue 1 team said on Friday. There was no mention of the fee involved in Monaco's statement confirming the transfer, but sources close to the French club confirm it was around £51m. He seems to enjoy in Monaco as you can see on the picture below:

Falcao has scored 16 goals in 44 appearances for Colombia, and after spells with River Plate and Porto he joined Atletico Madrid in summer 2011. He proved himself in the Primera Division and also had success in European competitions with Atletico.
In just his first three seasons in European football, Falcao scored over 100 goals.
The club from Spain noticed him in Portugal, to be more accurate at the club of Porto. Falcao joined Porto in 2009 for a fee of nearly 4 million euros. He became the top star of the club right after his first few matches. He scored 41 goals in 51 appearances in his time in Portugal. He played a key role in winning the league for the 25th time, with their angry rivals Benfica just behind them on the league table.
Being paired with Hulk, he was deadly in the final part of the field. Together, they have scored some fantastic goals. Also he had a major success in the Europa League scoring 14 goals in 17 appearances and playing a vital role in the team.
But, the peak of his career was in Madrid where he scored 52 goals in 67 appearances.

He is a complete striker, scores easily in the penalty area, outside the penalty box, free kicks, headers, everything. He even does not make difference between his stronger right and left foot when it comes to shooting, curling the ball. That's how good he is. He is described as the most natural goal scorer these days. His abilities of scoring with various parts of his body results in scoring some effective goals that most don't even expect.

He is not very tall, but his heading ability and technique has given him an edge winning generally all aerial battles. His most impressive goals tend to be headers. His playing style impresses the worlds football fans, and his talent is recognized by many football players. Also experts as Fabio Capello consider him to be on the same level as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

AC Monaco will have a perfect striker in their line up, but how will he fit, or should I say how he will be used in the team is up to them. They need to welcome him well and fit him perfectly in the team if they want him to shine as he did in Atletico.
He's also been a top scorer on international duty. He's been the leader of the team in the last couple of years.

Check the video below to see what a beast he's been for Atletico Madrid:
