In the Bundesliga a total of 18 teams compete, including 15 teams from last season, and 3 sides from the 2. Bundesliga. This season will be especially interesting because all of the teams are signing up players and are building new teams, with new coaches.
The rivalry between the Champions, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund this season is on the verge of exploding. Bayern took the most promising young talent of Borussia, Mario Götze. He had a great last season with Dortmund, and that forced Bayern to sign him. It was a very controversial transfer, the Borussia fans were burning his jersey and were even threatening him. But as they call him in Germany, The German Messi, is gonna play in Bayern this season. The team from Munich also signed Thiago Alcantara from Barcelona. He is a young talent of Barca, and having already worked with Guardiola, new Bayern coach, he is now reuniting with him in the team of Bayern. There were rumors that Thiago is gonna sign with the Premier League side, Manchester United, simply because it is a great club, with a great history, and as he was looking for more playing time in Barca, he sure would of have it in United, but in Munich, I'm not so sure.
On the other hand, Borussia agreed a deal with Shakhtar Donetsk for the services of their young talent Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The Armenian who had impressive three seasons with Shakhtar, scoring 38 goals in 72 appearances.
So the football world is expecting a big fight for the Bundesliga trophy this season.
It's not gonna be easy for the teams in the Bundesliga to win the trophy this season, because teams like Bayer Leverkusen and Shalke 04 are also signing up players and getting ready for the new season. Leverkusen signed Emir Spahic from Sevilla, while Shalke 04 secured the signings of Christian Clemens from FC Köln and Felipe Santana from Borussia Dortmund.
Also the three teams that were promoted this season to the Bundesliga, Hoffenheim, Hertha Berlin and Eintracht Braunschweig are buying new players because they know that is going to be a tough and long fight to avoid relegation in the 2. Bundesliga.
